Role at a Glance:
- Assess students’ speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, either individually or in small groups, focusing on specific communication goals.

- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, collaborating with the IEP team to establish suitable goals and interventions for students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate speech and language objectives into the student’s academic curriculum and daily routines.
- Maintain precise records of assessment outcomes, therapy sessions, progress reports, and other necessary documentation, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- Hold ASHA certification to be considered.
- A Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology or a related field is required.
- Eligibility for or possession of an SLP license in Illinois is necessary.
