Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:
Prepare and implement the instructional process for students with IEP’s
Deliver instruction, through the use of curriculum materials and educational software
Develop daily lesson plans and classroom schedule that reflects state and school requirements
Implement standards for student behavior in order to ensure a safe, secure and effective learning environment by providing a high degree of structure, clear expectations, and consistency
Requirements
Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
Experience working with children on the autism spectrum
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required. Master’s degree is a plus
Have an Illinois PEL with special education (LSB1) endorsement (no other certification will be accepted at this time)
Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week
