As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  
• Collecting data and implementing differentiated instruction and interventions for academic and social-emotional needs
  
• Integrating technology into your teaching methods
  
• Collaborating with therapists, professionals, and families to support student achievement
  
• Modifying general education curriculum to meet the unique needs of students with cognitive, emotional, or physical disabilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to ensure students achieve success across content areas
  
• Administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress
  
• Serve as a liaison between the school and families
  
• Communicate effectively with teachers, administration, and families

• Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
• Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (Master’s degree a plus)
• Eligible for an Illinois PEL with special education (LSB1) endorsement
• Availability to work up to 37.5 hours per week
