Discipline: Speech Language Pathologist ( SLP )
Location: Plainfield, Illinois
Hours Per Week: Full-time commitments
Setting: School Based
Start Date: Current School Year
The SLP will be responsible for planning and preparing students’ individualized education plans. We are looking for someone who can work well with parents and other staff members to help formulate plans that will effectively diagnose and treat speech delays on the caseload. The SLP will also be required to attend Professional Development classes that will be conducted by the school district.
Brief Job Summary:
- Actively participate in all Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as necessary.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of each student on the caseload to identify their needs for the academic year.
- Provide diagnosis, treatment, and preventative measures for speech learning disabilities among all students on the caseload.
- Collaborate effectively with a team of school professionals to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ requirements.
Requirements
- Hold ASHA certification to be considered.
- A Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology or a related field is required.
- Eligibility for or possession of an SLP license in Illinois is necessary.
- CFYs are welcome to apply and will receive dedicated supervision to support their professional development.
