Clarifi Staffing has teamed up with a supportive school district in Illinois seeking a qualified School Psychologist to join our team immediately for the current school year and to continue into the next school year. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for a professional looking to make a significant impact on the academic and social-emotional development of students. The School Psychologist will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students’ educational and mental health needs across various grade levels.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students’ cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of intervention strategies and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to individual student needs.
Provide direct support, counseling, and therapy to students dealing with various challenges affecting their school performance and well-being.
Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and parents to create supportive and effective learning environments.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss students’ progress and coordinate intervention strategies.
Provide crisis intervention services as needed and support the school community during challenging times.
Contribute to school-wide initiatives aimed at promoting a positive educational climate and enhancing student resilience and success.
Maintain accurate records of assessments, therapy sessions, communications, and progress reports in compliance with state regulations and district policies.
Requirements
Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement.
Experience in a school setting, with a strong understanding of educational, behavioral, and emotional assessment techniques and interventions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in school psychology.
