Position: STLR LBS1 Teacher – Self-Contained Program (Grades 3-5)
Job Description
Our Organization is looking for a full-time LBS1 Teacher to join an IL’s school district’s Structured Teaching and Learning Room (STLR) program, a specialized self-contained classroom designed for approximately 10 students in grades 3-5. This position spans the full school year and offers an opportunity to support students with autism or other developmental delays in a highly structured learning environment.
Working within the program focuses on providing intensive support for students’ communication, social skills, and behavior management. Students receive individualized academic instruction through an alternate or modified curriculum tailored to their unique needs. The small class size allows for targeted interventions and close collaboration with each student.

Requirements
Illinois LBS1 K-12 Certification
Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related degree
Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
Experience working with children with a wide range of varying abilities
