Job Description

Florida Certified Special Education Teacher
Work Hours: 37.5 Hours per week
Caseload: Elementary through High School Students
Setting: Minimal travel is required; mileage reimbursement is provided.
This position offers an opportunity to make a profound difference in the lives of exceptional learners while fostering collaboration and growth in an inclusive educational environment.
As the Exceptional Student Educator, your primary focus will be to empower students with diverse learning needs, equipping them with the tools and support to thrive both academically and socially. This role emphasizes collaboration, as you will work closely with fellow educators, administrators, and families to craft and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) that address each student’s unique challenges and strengths.
Job Details:
Designing and implementing IEPs to meet the needs of students with exceptionalities, providing targeted instruction and support for diverse learning challenges. Collaborating with general education teachers, you will adapt the curriculum to ensure inclusivity and regularly assess student progress to refine teaching strategies. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed records, communicating effectively with parents and stakeholders, and staying current on best practices through professional development.


Requirements

  • Florida ESE K-12 Certification.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related degree.
  • Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities.
  • Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role.
