Position Responsibilities:
- Craft and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to meet the needs of diverse ELL students.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support English language development across content areas.
- Implement standards for student behavior to ensure a safe, secure, and effective learning environment.
- Regularly assess student progress and modify instructional strategies to support ongoing language development.
- Prepare and implement instructional plans for English Language Learners (ELL) in alignment with school and state requirements.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a valid Illinois PEL with an ESL endorsement and have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Successful experience in teaching ESL or a related role is essential, along with expertise in supporting students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
