Bilingual Speech Pathologist

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students’ needs.
  
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, therapy sessions, progress notes, and IEPs.
• Provide service sessions in both English and Spanish, utilizing culturally and linguistically appropriate methods.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and communication disorders.
• Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and attend multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students’ academic and social success.
• Educate and train school staff and parents on strategies to support speech and language development at home and in the classroom.
• Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and bilingual education through professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
• Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois.
