The smaller class sizes foster targeted interventions and close collaboration, enabling meaningful progress for every student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a structured, supportive classroom environment that nurtures student growth.
- Design and deliver IEPs tailored to individual student needs, ensuring personalized support.
- Keep accurate records of student progress and IEP goals, updating as necessary.
- Evaluate student abilities and growth through regular assessments.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet diverse learning requirements.
- Offer emotional and social guidance to foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and family members to support each student’s educational journey.
Requirements
Experience working in an education setting
Have an Illinois PEL with special education
Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required; a Master’s degree is a plus
