Special Education Teacher Position – Darien, Illinois
Job Description
Our organization is currently seeking a Certified Exceptional Student Educator to join our team. As a special ed. teacher, you will work with students who have diverse learning needs and abilities, providing them with the support and resources necessary to succeed academically and socially. Your role will involve collaborating with other educators, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs.

- Advocate for the needs of exceptional students.

- Provide an inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ overall growth and development.
- Implement behavioral interventions as needed to promote positive behavior and social-emotional development.
Requirements
Valid Illinois special education teaching certification.
Bachelor’s degree (or Higher) with specialization in Special Education.
Prior experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
